Praxis Builders LLC is a licensed General Contractor based in Seattle, WA specializing in custom residential and commercial projects. Founded in 2016 by Peter Ward, Praxis began with the goal of synthesizing his background in Environmental Science with years of carpentry experience in the high-end & green building community in Washington State. As a business, our team continues to evolve with the construction industry through close collaboration with our architects, trade partners, consultants and clients. We offer complete construction services from preconstruction consulting and budgeting through the building and maintenance phases of our projects once they have been completed.

Our company’s ethos is in our name “Praxis”, which is the process by which a theory, lesson, or skill is enacted, embodied or realized. In our case, praxis is ongoing throughout the many stages of construction. The built environment offers a never ending study in how ideas transform resources into the spaces we inhabit, and through careful communication, organization, and project detailing, we are able to have a positive impact on the built environment by creating long lasting and beautiful projects.

Praxis Builders holds two CPHB (Certified Passive House Builder) certifications through PHIUS.
